This is the agnosticism / atheism community forum. Here you will have the opportunity to discuss matters of relevance to agnosticism, atheism, humanism, and skepticism with others who also visit this site. You should feel free to write posts relating to what you find here on the agnosticism/atheism site - the links, the features, and the presentation.
This forum is primarily for agnostics, atheists and skeptics. The purpose is to provide them with a place to discuss issues which interest them. It is also where one can learn more about agnosticism, atheism and skepticism. Preaching is not welcome, but genuine discussions are.
Be sure to read the rules and advice for the forum. You may also want to read the What is Atheism? FAQ, because we see a lot of the same claims over and over. You might also benefit from our FAQ on logical fallacies: Fallacies, because we see a lot of the same arguments over and over.
Please keep in mind also that this forum has an international membership with many people from outside the United States. So, Americans shouldn't automatically assume that everyone reading their posts are also Americans.

- Q. Do I have to register to use the forums?A. You can enter as a guest and read posts, but you must register before you can post or answer a post that's already there. Registering is quick, simple, and free. Please join us.
- Q. Are there any types of posts that are prohibited here?A. We will delete any spam or commercial posts. Please do not post to sell something or involve anyone in a money-making proposition. Flames or rude / insensitive remarks will be removed. Users who are disruptive may be gagged at the Guide's discretion.
- Q. May I promote my product or Web site here?A. As with most places on the Internet, you may make your URL part of your "signature" by typing it under your name at the end of your posts, but please do not place commercial posts on the forum. They will be considered spam and be deleted.
- Q. Who are you?A. Just who runs this site, anyway? My picture is on every page, and there is a brief explanation about who I am.
- A. I include links to a lot of different pages around the internet. Maintaining these links can be a time-consuming process, so if you want me to link to something on your site, it can happen faster and easier if you follow a few simple guidelines.
- A. The degree to which you have "free speech" on this site varies and is limited by the rules created by both About.com and myself. It will help to learn more about what they are and why they exist.
- A. Find out the technical details about what About.com does and does not permit when people use the forums and chat rooms.
- A. There are only a few things which, in addition to the normal User Agreement, are not permitted in the forum or the chat room.
- A. We expect posters to comply with copyright laws. If you're not sure what they are, we have provided a summary with links to more detailed explanations.
